I’ve had limited chances to use cycling in my skill challenges. In order to keep it fresh, I’ve limited the number of time any PC can be the primary. This takes a repetitive task and keeps it interesting. As the skill challenge progresses the Endurance checks become more difficult as the less-skilled PCs have to take their turn as the primary.
