Hey guys. Glad you liked the article. There is a lot more to come. Jackofhearts is right, this is just the surface of what you can do with skill challenges. I hope you like what I have coming up.

And apologies for the late replies. RL has kept me hopping.

Quality stuff here. I really enjoy skill challenges here, and definitely agree with your approach and methods of broadening/deepening skill challenges. Between the stuff here and Mearl's stuff on DDI, skill challenges continue to evolve. Keep it up!

Anyone who has been paying attention to your skill challenge series can see the stuff you're writing about here, but it's good to see you extract it in this way.

Branching is a great idea. The best skill challenges offer players good options and reward creativity. Your suggestion regarding Branching allows players to be more creative when using their skills. We’re doing similar things over at Dungeon’s Master. In all of our skill challenges we present the use of skills that don’t count towards overall success or failure, but provide a bonus on a future check.

We’re looking forward to reading your next article in this series. Tomorrow we’re posting a skill challenge called Information Gamble on our site that has a mini-skill challenge within the main skill challenge which we think will tie in nicely with your next article on Nesting. Visit us tomorrow and take a look.

Interesting approach. It certainly makes Skill Challenges feel more dynamic.
