The fire sorceror can sit out the underwater adventure, and a group of fighters and clerics can take on the ogre horde. One of the other fine points, in a way, is realism.

Think about it. In a place like Aglarond, with its history and background, there are going to be a lot of adventurers about. Why is it then, that YOUR character hangs out with the same 4 people their whole life?
